The Story Behind the Click

Why I Built Privora Click

Because I got tired of being the product. And I figured you might be too.

The Airport Moment

It happened in a departure lounge, waiting for a connecting flight. Bored, I Googled a few household items; beds, couches, the usual. Got what I needed, closed the tabs, boarded the plane, thought nothing of it.

Next morning, I opened Facebook. First thing on my feed? An advert for beds. Scroll a bit further – lounge furniture. That is when it hit me, hard: my data was not just being watched. It was being packaged and sold. I was the product, and I had never agreed to the terms.

The Switch

That day, I started migrating everything. Email, storage, passwords, browsing, the lot. I landed on Proton because of Swiss privacy laws and the fact it was built by CERN scientists. As a European, that was a no-brainer. No backdoors. No data mining. No “we reserve the right to scan your files.”

Since the switch, the difference has been stark. Even using Opera (which, yes, carries some Google DNA), I see dramatically fewer ads tied to my activity. My inbox is not profiling me. My files are not being analysed. My passwords are not sitting in some Silicon Valley database waiting for the next breach headline.

Why This Site Exists

I am a full-stack web developer and affiliate marketer by trade. I build things for a living. But I also believe in recommending tools I actually use and trust, not whatever pays the highest commission.

Privora Click is my way of sharing what worked for me. Every link on this site is an affiliate link, and I will always be straight with you about that. But I only promote Proton because I have lived with it, relied on it, and genuinely believe it is the best privacy ecosystem available today.

Where I Am

Physically, I am typing this from the Czech Republic. Mentally, I am already in the Philippines; my favourite corner of South East Asia after years of hopping around the region. The plan is to relocate there for the long haul, laptop in hand, building things that matter from a beach bungalow somewhere.

Digital nomad life teaches you one thing fast: your data follows you everywhere. That is why I take privacy seriously. Not because I have something to hide, but because I have something to protect; my autonomy, my attention, my peace of mind.

Full Disclosure Every Proton link here is an affiliate link. I earn a commission if you sign up, at zero extra cost to you.
Real User I use Proton VPN, Mail, Drive, and Pass daily. These are not theoretical recommendations.
